Season 1 Episode 8

Chaarvi Modi

I can’t even describe this feeling. It was like peace inside every single day. Even my bad days were on such a high note and it was a natural high so powerful I didn’t need any external validation. That made me smile so much that I remember the first week, my cheeks were just hurting from how much I was smiling, even though I was just a going. It was so good.

Chaarvi Modi

Chaarvi Modi is a geopolitical journalist by profession and a traveler at heart. She spent more than thirteen months budget-backpacking across the length and breadth of India, living and working in remote villages in the hills, by the sea, and in the desert. She touched borders of Sri Lanka, China, and Pakistan during the journey and worked from trains, boats, ferries, buses, national monuments, and waterfalls. She has been checking experiences off her bucket list during these trips, including driving through the highest motorable road in the world, bungee jumping and paragliding in the Himalayas, scuba diving, backwater kayaking, and an impromptu week-long surfing lesson in the Arabian Sea, and sleeping under the milky way in the sand dunes bordering Pakistan.
